I probably won't live up to my name.

In this circumstance, "transgender women" is a relevant subset of women. Broadly, trans women have adopted Hatsune Miku as one of their icons; women as a whole have not. It's like, if I were to say "old women love crocheting doilies", the "old" part is relevant. My grandma would probably not object to that statement. However, if I was constantly singling her out as an old lady, even when it wasn't relevant, she might suspect there was some animus behind the word.

I can confirm they fit perfectly in Magic: The Gathering card sleeves.

I'd heard rumors that strategy guide publishers would give dev studios kickbacks if they'd put in obscure areas or difficult puzzles in that you'd need the guide to figure out. Can't corroborate it but it sounds legit.

So you'd rather go after someone who can afford to try and track you down? You don't need a building with a real floor plan to store a Playstation or a box of tools (both visible in OP's stuff).

Not every game needs to be a full dive simulation. Different writers have different goals and not all audiences will react to their presentations the same way. Personally, I find it incredibly tedious to hear how THIS game justifies "potion gives you health" for the 1000th time. Spotlighting the issue is what takes me out of a game.

Electrum didn't exist in D&D 3rd or 4th edition, which both used systems where each coin counted up by 10s. 5e re-added electrum (after it had been missing for real life 20+ years) and made it not a value of ten. All but the most worthless purchases are made in gold anyway, so having 3 kinds of coins smaller than gold (copper, silver, and electrum) is already an annoyance.

Poverty, homelessness and hunger must still exist in the world of Gattaca for one simple reason: there are people who CAN'T afford gene edits for their kids. If housing is a given and food is a right, where are In-Valid's paychecks going that they can't afford a one-time payment to upward social mobility?

Drugs cost money, anesthesiologists cost a LOT of money, and putting people under does carry a non-zero risk.

"It's great as long as you aren't part of the permanent underclass" does not a utopia make.

Yup. Vince McMahon said during a deposition (Ventura v. Titan Sports Inc WWF) that Hulk was the one who tattled about a unionization speech.

If the other player lets you take those corners, they aren't playing perfectly.

This trans guy would appreciate it people dropped the sir/ma'ams. There's been some times where its super obvious a stranger is tiptoeing around assigning a gender and it's just as uncomfortable as if they'd been wrong and got it over with.
That beside, I know a few trans girls who don't have the luxury of SRS and it sucks to see them getting needlessly "sir"ed because they didn't go all-out on their makeup for a visit to the supermarket. Everyone should be allowed to be frumpy sometimes.

Being trans doesn't automatically stop one's reproductive capabilities. Being non-straight doesn't preclude pregnancy in any way. Even straight people don't need a relationship of any kind to have kids.

For sure! For a long time, I was one of the ones who'd only seen "it" used in a negative light and really struggled to see why someone would choose it intentionally. But then someone finally explained to me - love, truth, justice - these are all things we call "it". That's good company to be in.

There's a lot of people "queer" doesn't work for. Do remember that it's in the process of being reclaimed, which means for some older folks it's still going to carry the sting of decades as a pejorative. Seems rude to say "this word that's been used against you most of your life is going to continue to define you, or you get nothing".

Chronologically, the posts would be: Gritty raises pride flag-> This guy says bigoted stuff-> hateful conduct report-> this guy asks why he was reported-> Musk says "report rescinded, carry on".

Eh. Case by case basis. My cishet roommates have done SO much to keep my disabled trans ass off the street, and we just got another one out of a bad situation and into somewhere stable. I'll take that over a rainbow lanyard.

3 each other by celebrating, and even by buying pride merch, but buying it FROM each other. Spread queer joy and ensure a fellow LGBT+ member has a roof over their head. That's the takeaway.

2 behind", like everyone else. The BEST case scenario for allowing corporations at Pride is that they continue trying to sanitize the movement, pushing those who aren't commercial-friendly back underground, which is antithetical to Pride's function. Worst case, someone like Chik-fil-A or Hobby Lobby put up their rainbow branding and use those profits to push legislation that is, again, aimed to make our lives so unlivable that we do not live them. We don't have to tolerate that. We can uplift

1 Fellow LGBTQ+ person here. I do feel like the annual reminders about corporations serve a function, and the message being sent ISN'T "nobody likes you". Remember, corporations AREN'T people, and they're the ones memes like this are criticizing.
Unlike straight people at Valentine's Day or Irish people at St. Patty's, queer people are currently the target of an entire political party, and they are trying to kill us. Not "extract as much profit as possible for 50-60 years and leave a husk

Good Omens is just a treat! So many characters get to just be themselves and date whoever they fancy without anyone cocking an eyebrow or commenting "oh, I didn't know you were 'like that'." It's a very gentle and well-handled series in that sense.
