this type of jump is just a tracking manuever where you position your body to reduce vertical for more horizontal. its very common in skydiving as well and used to separate yourself from others when opening.

No, theres also tracking suits and those just positioning your body like this, aka tracking to trade vertical for horizontal speed. A good tracker, can go far but never as far as one in a track or wing suit. This same body position is used in skydiving to separate when opening.

It shows that right in the photo and most people here are not skydivers...

they don’t steer. they use the different winds at different heights and that’s basically all the control they have

Sometimes you just get damp, the others, you wind up with red marks but you rarely notice in the moment and it's really not that bad

You do notice temperature changes but it's not a big deal

The marines budget is $57 billion. Any links to say what you're claiming? I agree it's insane but I'd at least like that claim to be accurate.

because you get to rotate the camera to capture the entire jump. great for reviewing video of what happened when you can only look in one direction. recording it was never intended to be posted on imgur as some kind of amazing feat in videography. in group jumps, it can be good to capture everything around. same logic is true if you have a malfunction with your canopy, now you can scroll your video to what took place and not have to be looking in that direction

Depends on the suit but either accelerometer or a pull cord when some one leaves the bike at a high rate

Gopro does offer a 360 camera but I think most prefer the insta360
