By that definition, I'M a tankie (I'm not actually a tankie, this is a shit definition). An actual tankie is someone who supports authoritarian "communist" regimes.

I wish everyone in this picture would get the most aggressive strain of cancer imaginable.

The clause is about states not being able to REGULATE AI, which is far worse.

"Read a history book" -guy who seems to believe the Nazis started by "burring" people alive. We have literal gestapo kidnapping people off the street and sending them to foreign concentration camps without trials and your dumbass is sitting here lecturing me on respect for speaking up BEFORE we get to the point where people are simply being loaded into gas chambers en masse. Not only is the comparison valid, Republicans are pretty much following the Nazi playbook 1:1. You're a fucking idiot.

Sure but I don't think I'd use the word "nuance" for what I'm describing. It's not even nuance; it's just underwhelming and you don't need to be politically informed to see this boring-looking/sounding man go "you're weak!" as if he's said something bold and be unimpressed. I'm not even against clickbait-y bullshit, for exactly the reasons you describe, but I wish we'd save it for...not this. But, to be fair, I'll cede that maybe I'm overestimating what it takes to impress the apolitical.

1. Because their own door wouldn't be an interesting premise for a video like this 2. Aside from the oddness of the scenario and I guess maybe the speed of the upload compared to the recording time (though I wouldn't call those conclusive), what makes it so obviously staged? You'd think they'd go for another take when they realized one of the girls is almost entirely blocked by the others.

I don't see "moron," I see "Nazi." There's a lot of overlap there but the latter is definitely worse.

Also, like, even if it was just straight up 75 Dems who were thinking "ICE, fuck yeah!" that would STILL be fewer than the 200+ Republicans that voted in favor this. At best, you could say those individual Democrats are as bad as Republicans (you know, if you also disregard their respective voting histories) but, even if you discard the politics of it all and just look at the hard math, "Dems are as bad as the GOP," at least as a general statement, would still be objectively fucking stupid.

Retorted vehemently against because it's fucking stupid. Is nuance THAT hard? The resolution also condemned an antisemitic attack and it's likely some votes were driven by concern for the optics of voting against an "antisemitism" resolution, bad faith though it may be. I'd have liked to see all Dems vote against it and be consistent/loud with the messaging explaining why but "hurr they're both just as bad" is such a "I don't follow politics beyond the headlines" conclusion to draw from this.

I will never stop cheering when I hear about police being ambushed.

Ok but I still think the Jan 6th insurrectionists were wrong.

That first "as" would be the keyword in that sentence. US police are particularly monsterous for a developed country but the police aren't your friends anywhere and copaganda isn't exclusive to the US by any means.

If I must die, I'd rather die doing everything I can to take as many Nazis down with me than starve to death in a concentration camp.

If I believed in prayer, mine would be more like: "Dear God, you know that bad luck curse in Animal Crossing? Well, this has nothing to do with that; can you please vaporize every rightwing politician on Earth?"

The rise of Christian nationalism has pushed my view of religion from indifferent to openly hostile. So tired of my life being made worse over these stupid fucking beliefs. And they ARE stupid. There isn't a single argument for why one should believe in a god (ESPECIALLY a specific god) that isn't an obvious fallacy and/or nonsensical coping.

"I think it IS important for people to remember that since long before Netanyahu, Israel has faced both empty and very forceful threats to their existence." That tends to happen when you take land people already exist on and say "this is mine now."

I think people get disallusioned pretty quick when they keep clicking on things like "[Democrat] DESTROYS Trump" and it's always just a clip of some milquetoast little speech from a centrist Dem that criticizes Trump even less harshly than your average late night talk show host's opening monologue. If the content doesn't actually deliver, I think framing it this way just makes the left look weak.

Yet most people still act as if I'm being ridiculous when I refuse to associate with Republicans. Like it's merely "different views."

Yeah, let your enemy get away with everything all the time, because democracy or something.

Sheriffs in general shouldn't even be a thing.

I really don't give a shit about their families. I don't actively want harm to come to their uninvolved families but it's also not enough of a concern that I think people should pull any punches. The class war has become much more literal and collateral damage happens in war.

That "some" makes you infinitely less cruel than the god Robertson believed in.

Your smugness is entirely unearned. You didn't actually address what I said at all. Your political ideology, advice for Democrats, entirely baseless suggestion that my reply is motivated by anger, and insincere well-wishes are irrelevant to my point: Bernie wasn't the nominee because you didn't get off your asses & vote for him (this is a general "you," I don't care that YOU specfically voted for him) and the suggestion it was stolen from him is a lie pushed by the right to instill voter apathy.

"They didn't let us have Bernie" is a rightwing talking point and y'all are dumb for constantly parroting it. Primary voters didn't let us have Bernie.

Leading Dem presidential candidates are always centrists. There are lots of reasons Dems lost but sexism was absolutely a major factor.
