You seem to not be clear on the difference between riding casually or commuting compared to riding for exercise or sport.
You seem to not realize the difference between riding bike and cycling for sport or exercise. No need to wear a bib for just casual riding.
Depends on the riding. If you're doing a drop bar bike trying to push watts over a long distance you will be chaffed.
A tighter shirt is just comfortable because it isnt flopping around in the wind when you're going 15-22mph. Also has pockets on the back.
A bib is normal
Its more about the type of riding than the duration or distance. But you can get away with anything you want, most of us get chaffed without
