Yeah but to be fair the full liberation of the Netherlands took quite some time, with most of the "Randstad"( the area from Utrecht to Rotterdam to Amsterdam) still being occupied untill 6th and 7th of may (yes the days after the capitulation) with the place were I am from being liberated on the 5th of may. Also one of the Police men in my village was in the resistance was planning to destroy communication infrastructure together with 2 other people, plan failed and all 3 were killed in Sept. 44

Blood on the shirt of the medic, or at least I interpreted it that way, aside from that maybe should have used "possibly shocking" as the trigger warning

Best I can hope for is that AI might start integrating my "trademark" and we start seeing trademark "anomalies" in AI colorisations

Definitly the good kind, comming from an Aspy. however due to the fact I do so much random armies I end up being Jack of all trades, Master of none.

The tunics seen are M1940 Tropenfeldbluse (Tropical field jacket), I think the helmet covers are fieldmade from sandbags. The man in front has a MP40 or MP38 in his arms and a Nebelhandgranate 39 (Smoke grenade) in between his belt as well as his MP40/38 ammo pouches. the boots he wears are the M1940 Tropenstiefel (Tropical boot). the man behind him seems to have a Karabiner 98k in his hand, I think next to the rifle seem to be spools for detonation wire?

Italian Facism were involvement within the Dada movement and much of mussolini his HQ was pretty Avant Garde like the "spinning mussolini head" not too mention "superfacist" Julius Evola made quite some Dada art and Salvador Dali supported Franco. The Croatian Ustasha used poetry as self expresion. Just a few examples, Nazism was indeed anti (certain) art. I do fully agree that AI is indeed the antithesis of art, it is simply lazyness and I would assosiate it with neolib capitalism

I do try to give them some vibrance, I mean when I touch some grass during a walk it tends to be quite colourfull, but than again I also have seen phone screens giving different looks to my colorisations (I have seen on some Iphones that they look faded and when I work they look different on each screen)

Do you mean the thing attached to the sword?

Yeah some of these men would become part of the Princes Irene Brigade, a Mechanized Infantry Unit, with some becoming part of No.2 Dutch Commando Troop (like the units that took part in the Dieppe raid)

Tbf the Habsburg Monarchy did a lot for the ethnic emancipation within its Empire, practically giving Romanians voting rights within Transylvania (when the Magyar lords were repressing these rights) giving Croats and Bosnians a say within their own communities (these rights would be repressed in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia) and keeping the multitude of diverse cultures within its empire alive and well and meanwhile having a loved Monarchy (just take Sisi and Franz Joseph)

but yeah he died pretty young after he caught a cold in town, which developed into bronchitis and progressed to severe pneumonia. Having suffered two heart attacks, he died of respiratory failure in 1922 at the ripe age of 34.

yes, however by the time of Karl 1 there was more varied blood in the family (since Leopold I of Austria (1640โ€“1705) had a coefficient of 15.7%, that is 10% less compaired to the Spanish branch of the Habsburgs) however the Austrian Habsburg average is supossedly inbetween 1.7% and 7.9% but for the average person it is below 1%.

I mean some possibly used Spain or Latin America to escape, Ante Pavelic died in Spain of old age or some organ failing (if I remember correctly)

Yeah I do it with anything that could be kinda controversial, but with n@z! Germany colorisations I also add a warning in the title, with this I mostly do it because I am unsure how people feel. But it is a nice piece of text before the comment section, giving a moment to think before commenting I guess.

Nah the French were probably hit the hardest during the war together with Russians, Romanians, Serbs and Belgians especially on terrain loss. But somehow the French had forces on almost every front

Very glad you like it, I was asked to redo it by a friend, as he was annoyed by me being wrong about the color of the jackets worn by the two soldiers closest to the camera, as they wear m1941 jackets instead of HBT uniforms like i first thought.

Yeah, dark backgrounds are hard to fill in correctly. So that makes it look odd

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

you are indeed correct, there isnt much information about the original picture, but it seems to be propaganda or maybe a demonstration (possibly both).

If I am correct, the Baltic states still us the MG3 or a variant as well as Denmark I believe.

My god you need to see the Instagram page whenever I post something for the #yiww2 series, it almost looks like the 90s, with Serbs attacking Croats and Bosnians, Croats attacking Serbs, "historians" attacking "historians"
