The issue is all the work to clean the scissors after. The wheel works fine if it's not dull (sharpen it on a belt sander) or use a big knife.

If that was 1983, she IS an old woman.

You're correct, haters have chosen a side. Reason doesn't work on hate. But I'm saying that the purpose of debates is to inform those that are undecided.

And a side note ... we shouldn't fall into the trap of calling everything on the religious side "hate." Don't get me wrong - there is plenty of hate - but using that word universally has some 'telling your wife to just calm down' vibes.

That's what she said.

Oh. Kittens. I thought you and your crew were gaining pounds like mad.

Remember that these debates aren't meant to convince the opposing debater, but those listening who still have not fully chosen one side or the other.

Ok, but what is there to gain by listening to one side of a debate only?

And if we're going to look down on the other side for not listening to us and for misrepresenting our ideas ... let's not do the same.

Look, I agree with this guy's position and like his points. But I want to hear what she has to say - it might be similar to what some of my family say if I bring these points up with them

Ok, but I hate these clips where we only get to hear one side of a debate.

The 1960s?

Fun no matter which way you flip them!

Nor did I accuse you of saying anything of the sort. Yes, the author of the article chose the words "ratted her out" ... but rules enforcement is what the officials are there for. He's not the bad guy when she can't follow instructions.

That's actually pretty nice of him, isn't it? He got her the photo before calling attention to the rules that everyone is expected to follow? The jerk move would have been to call over the official without posing first.

No need for an exact match when you're attaching the hinge to wood (or particleboard, etc.). The first few times you can use a slightly bigger screw, then eventually you'll need to fill the hole with wood epoxy and start over.

What are you worried about here? Per your article, this is part of a long-term plan for France to keep their gold reserves in-country, started in the 1960s.

"Smaller" relative to your claim of xenophobia. It was a shitty thing to do and thankfully he'll have to answer for it in court.

Nothing personal, but it's important to call it what it is. We already have too many people around us trying to turn smaller issues into societal conflicts.

All that to say, I think the "xenophobia" tag is a little unwarranted here. This seems to have been a personal beef.

No excuse for the assault, but some context:

Apparently the neighborhood had been having issues with wheelchair man. He allegedly never leashed his dogs (illegal), would regularly seek out and approach children that he knew were afraid, and would camp out in front of children's houses if parents confronted him.

Again, not an excuse. But I get where the dad's frustration came from.

Still a couple weeks to go.

If you're pretending this is during a game, it wouldn't be a stretch to pretend the theoretical batter swings way too late and misses it.

No they don't.

Absolutely insist on that being fixed. This is clearly not an "as cheap as possible" deck. Nobody on the crew should be cutting that corner without bringing it to your attention. If they need to do a little extra framing to locate it correctly then so be it.
