I agree that it is imbalanced, and that it is exploitative in that one party benefits more than the other. However, you state as absolute truth that this is "abused with impunity"; this is what I disagree with, it doesn't have to be this black and white. It wasn't my intention to misrepresent what you said. I read your message as a "this is true, therefore X". My apologies for misunderstanding. Also no, I didn't read your baking book. :)
You make some leaps here that I don't agree with. Just because the relationship is imbalanced in the power dynamic does not mean it has to be abusive (see e.g. parent / child relationship). There will always be biases as long as humans are involved; this is unfair and bad, but a good person and Manager would do their best to minimize this. This does not make the employer or Manager inherently bad, this fault is one EVERONE wrestles with.
The biggest lesson is to find a good employer and look for a good manager. I've had a few where hard work and high performance does in fact pay off, and being likeable is an accelerant. In broad strokes though, being likeable is VERY important. Doing a good job is by many employers considered to be the bare minimum, and being likeable will get people to notice your performance

Outside of Stockholm? How far out we talking? If it's Stockholm University that's still pretty close to the city and close residence prices will reflect this. Also, check if she can register to SSSB or something of the like to get in line for student accomodations if that's an option

Mostly the same as those without supportive parents I'd assume, with the exception of having the option to "call a friend" when in need, and having a presence ask about you and give you praise. It's nice, all in all. But as a functioning adult the support is rarely needed, yet of course always appreciated.

Regarding the amount of applicants, it will depend. A specialized job will often have few applicants. Also if the advert is vague/poorly defined it will attract tons of people that are not right for the position.
Not what I personally do, but adjacent. Lighting things on fire, which spins the magnets, making the building blocks of the universe move, which in turn lets your rocks get hot. Magic!

Different strokes I guess. If it doesn't sound like a bathtub gurle overlapped with gravel stuck in the brakes of a 2004 Honda Accord it just doesn't scratch my itch.
As a certified metal fan with a head-to-body ratio similar to that of Mike Wazowski I can tell you the neck pain I get from head banging is real and often a multi-day affair, but ultimately worth it.

It's also tasty! Many local dishes are earthy/salty, and the sweetness of berries breaks it up a bit and adds welcome complexity. Give me meatballs, potatoes, cream sauce, pickled cucumber and lingonberry jam and I'm set for years

Mu issue was always that such arguments came with a lack of mutual respect from my parents. Which of the following will lead to confrontation?1. "I expect you to clean the dishes, and am angry that they're not done when I get home. You will do them immediately."2. "I'm tired and I like to come home to a clean kitchen, would you please do the dishes? I feel I've done my share of work for the time being, and it would take a load off."
Depends on the vocalist, vocal technique, how articulate they are being, and how much of a wall of noise the song itself is. All to say it depends, sometimes its crystal clear, other times its bathtub gurgles.
