Honestly i dont think it will be either stale, or flat.
Stale - means oxydation has occured, but no oxygen could have accessed it, the liquid and glass sealed quite nicely
flat - means the carbonation left the liquid, but since it would have pushed UP and making room, the liquid out. as u can see no other moisture on the bar then the spot where it was placed.
i hope thats the real stuff not the stretched stuff with crystal sugar syrup that recenly made the rounds.

long: yes and no. The gases build up could "rupture" internal organs like an overflating balloon, but they can not "explode" like a flamable gas/oxygen mixture as you see the person trying to set the stream on fire with the lighter. thats likely because the bloatgaas has not the right air/fuel ratio to ignite. it only "stays lit"a couple of feet after the nozzle, when enough oxygen in the air mixed with the gas.
