Not sure why the original comment was downvoted. The implication is that King wasn’t killed when he advocated for racial equality but he killed when his rhetoric shifted to economic equality and class solidarity. The timing of his assasination certainly lends credence to this interpretation if nothing else so again, not really sure why the downvotes.
