They whine about "identity politics" when that's their entire brand - except it's just one identity.

MeestowKitty blocked me which is pretty much what I would expect from an armchair activist with no skin in the game. I guess their definition of "WE" is really "those poor working schlubs over there"

Have you burned down your workplace in solidarity yet? You're talking about "WE" so get to it. Come back and tell us how how "WE SHOWED THEM the cost for ignoring US".

Otherwise you just want someone else to do it and suffer.

Do you even care about the people who worked at the warehouse that are now unemployed? Do you think the arsonist asked all his coworkers first to make sure they'd be okay without a job?

I guess I should stuck with "He did actually graduate boot camp." I could probably say "he can tie his shoes" and people would call me a bootlicker or something...

Did you even read my message? Do you know what "strong unions" are? You're responding to what you want, not to what I said.

And seriously who downvotes strong labor unions?

Jeez I'm not bragging about the guy - just stating his record. He fought in combat. Maybe he hid behind a rock or ran away. Maybe he didn't "earn" any medals. But he served in the military. That's just a fact, not an endorsement. And it's a fact that Trump didn't. I didn't either, but I don't cosplay army hero either.

He fought in Afghanistan and Iraq and earned two bronze stars. He's a complete asshole, but at least he walked the walk unlike Trump and the other armchair warriors.

Strong unions that can support workers during strikes are a better solution to increasing wages and improving work conditions. I hope the other employees were on board or at least prepared and capable of finding immediate replacement jobs. I don't think it's right for one employee to make that decision for everyone else though.

Will the African swallows carry coconuts to the clown?

I like to imagine a world where all sizes of cats are domesticated in the same way dogs are. But they still just show up one day and pick a family to live with.

We should all help Trump and his family move somewhere safer than the White House. Perhaps a bunker in the desert somewhere.

You'd understand if you ever worked a day in your life.

wow. Must be nice to be rich and not need to worry about a job. Most people need a job to pay for food and rent, and if they lose their job it's not always easy to find another one quickly. You're probably thinking they should just use savings or cut back on avocado toast and lattes. The real world doesn't work that way for most of us.

Thank you! My kid has a job at a place like this and his whole world would be wiped out if someone burned his livelihood away.

Sucks to be the people who lost their jobs but I suppose they were just suckers for working there and can find a better job tomorrow, right? viva la revolution

2 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Yup and all the people who had jobs at that warehouse are now unemployed. The CEO won't have to pay for the warehouse, but all those now-unemployed people still have to pay rent.

This hits home for me because my son works at a warehouse sort of like this. He's had some barriers to employment and trouble finding a "real" job but finally landed his warehouse job and actually likes it. He's going to get his first apartment this summer if he can find a roommate.

If someone "liberates him from his chains" his entire world will collapse.

All the people who worked there are now unemployed and the air is full of pollution from all the burned plastic in the diapers. Another "hero" for imgur to worship

The workers "have nothing to lose but their chains"!? That's some entitled bullshit right there. You think they don't have rent and groceries to buy? The suspect didn't even work for KimberleyClark.

2 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

20 people were in the warehouse when he started the fire (luckily no injuries). There's no known motive yet and the suspect doesn't work for Kimberly Clark. All the people who worked there are now unemployed. What is helpful about any of that?
