I loved the first three books or so back in the '80s. At some point it got a little silly, though. I remember the description of event or other that involved "cosmic mucus". So it was a snot monster.Also, at one point someone says, "Don't kill him! Not again!". It was unintentionally hilarious.Off topic, but Brian Lumley has written a LOT of books.
