You think the MPD isn’t generally depicted as actively engaging in heroic activity during meta incidents? Even if just evacuation/crowd work
Metro are trained for threats like Doomsday and Brainiac.. got S.T.A.R labs gear. They’re gonna be prepared better than Gotham flatfoots.
That’s because they got that Batman will bail us out mentality ... and they’re 50/50 Dirty. Import some Metro PD and get a budget... lethal.
Pretty sure most those mentally ill would choose fight with Batman over hail of bullets from GCPD.
Pretty sure he’s not portraying the reading of a will in that clip.
It’s an effect... to show emotional agitation. It’s not supposed to be read as literal sweat. It’s visual shorthand like speed lines ect.

While excellent, I feel that Batman Beyond’s villains were built, in tone/theme, around a template of Spider-Man’s rogues gallery.
The behind the scenes history of Doom Patrol is fascinating. Don’t sleep on it.

Different topic, I imagine, but I find this often can be a scientist being dismissive of other scientists by insulting the proxy’s bonafides
