Yup, last I heard, there's gonna be US nukes stationed in the UK again soon
I didn't think France and China were signatories to that, but yes, it's shameful how the UK and USA neglected that agreement with Ukraine when it became difficult. It's sent a massive signal round the globe in favour of nuclear proliferation. "No one will protect you if you give up nuclear arms. You'll be on your own" :(
I've heard a lot of the air filters which used to be installed back then to clear the cigarette smoke, don't get installed nowadays to save costs

Yesss, loved these, but the UK had separate sets to the USA I think. It was such a pain to get some of the other sets, but so tempting. I've gotta try and resist going back and collecting these things for the nostalgia..

I believe simulations say it would heat up, expand, and go subcritical.. then cool down and go critical again, and repeat? Probably a bad time if you left it a while, but definitely not nuclear explosive levels of issue

It's way too slow, Slotin took 9 days to die after the demon core incident. That's much too slow for a minefield. And these would be incredibly easy landmines to detect, and if you detect them they're very easy to remove and take home and bam you have free warhead cores
Yup! And sometimes a large red deer can be referred to as an Elk. (Or the extinct Irish Elk, of course). It's so silly, that the word Elk is basically unusably ambiguous. Always say moose or wapiti
