i never up or downvote anything because it literally doesn't fucking matter. fight me
I was deeply bothered by the way he was in tears when Charlie Kirk was shot. It felt really performative given how much he said he hated him before. I didn't want him to be cheerful or anything, but sobbing and going "he had children" seems a bit much.
Oh shoot I didn't know any other legit agencies still used mIRC. I thought it was literally just military, human traffickers, hackers/bootleggers.
hell yeah mIRC.in 2020 I joined the military and found out that the military uses IRC to communicate between commands. so far no one has understood how amazing that is or why I know so much about how to use it.
Great. This will make him the first president to get impeached 3 times. Tell me how that helps.
Who opens a banana like this?
I hate ads that are predatory and insulting. This is just an ad for a guy selling upcycled cat beds. He’s gotta grab attention somehow. I like this ad.
Well I don't think that's EXACTLY why they're usually (not always) nocturnal, since time of day has no bearing on energy consumption (you can make an argument for the presence of crepuscular, calorie-dense prey but many nocturnal bats are herbivores). But that is a good point about how bats don't soar, that never occurred to me.Obviously it's a little absurd to get into the nitty gritty about whether humans could be biological capable of self-powered flight, but it's a fun thought experiment.
To be clear I'm not 100% serious. I'm just saying you don't have to have all the adaptations birds have in order to fly. There are different ways to go about it.
Well I mean obviously birds are not humans and humans don't have wings, but... bats did add wings to an otherwise standard mammalian body (though maintaining the four-limb structure).
It's also not "in my head". I didn't make this up. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/apr/03/trump-pam-bondi-administration
Why are you talking about the first administration? He has clearly changed strategies.
Exactly. It’s an interesting ideology that allows both women and men to do horrible things BUT only the women are held accountable.
I mean sure, but I want to emphasize that it was a choice I made myself, not because my mom did anything wrong. The military by itself is not an evil organization. In fact I am glad I have an insider look into how everything is operating right now, esp with actors like Mark Kelly and Colonel Bree Fam.
Fortunately, the Navy is mostly used that way because of the assets and training we have. We're not really boots-on-ground (SEALs and Seabeas excepted). Literally most of what I do is monitoring the ocean for submarines. You know Russia has a sub that literally its only purpose is to cut underwater cables? It's called the Paltus (or that's what we call it). That's public info, not opsec. The other branches though... I think about my buddy in the MN national guard and I worry about him.
The US navy, in conjunction with other navies (I work directly with the royal canadian navy), is what protects free trade in the world's oceans. Trump may have effed things up in Iran, but there are other vital trade routes in the vicinity of China, Russia, the Indian Ocean, and Africa that would be strictly controlled by these foreign powers if they weren't protected by American and European patrols. It's amazing what goes on out there that no one knows about.
I joined the Navy at age 34 after living a long life of mediocrity. Joining the military vastly improved my life financially, gave me free medical, and opened routes for education that I thought were closed to me.It's certainly not for everyone, and there is an undercurrent of bootlicking that divides those who serve (there are STRONG anti-Israel attitudes in the military). But I don't want to equate joining the military with prostrating yourself before glorious leader. It's not just murder.
Hi, joined the military because I'm poor. Not because anyone failed me. I'd also rather go to prison than use force on a civilian.
I like how some people think politics has nothing to do with normal life.
I don’t think it’s about thin skin. I just think it’s dated and weird.
My friends don’t mock appearances though.
Thank you. I was wondering, because I thought opals were opa-que. This helps.
Yeah I feel like there's a little more involved when it comes to taking down a zebra vs. catching a vole.
I don't care about the racism aspect, but exaggerating your flaws seems like a great way to make someone feel insecure about how they look. I don't find these offensive, just kinda not desirable.
I don't understand the point of caricatures. They just seem insulting.
I was riding with a friend of mine to a festival, and I passed some No Kings protestors. I waved to them, happy to see them. Then my friend, who I found out that day is MAGA, said, "These protestors are so stupid. Trump isn't a King!"Yes. That's the point.Anyway I have no friends now.

as soon as someone uses the word "demonic" and they aren't talking about fantasy demons from fantasy land, like they're talking about actual satanic influence, i stop listening to whoever's speaking.i don't doubt it's happening, but it's not demonic. it's specifically human

CAN'T we reverse the damage? I'm not trying to downplay the urgency of climate change, but nature is surprisingly resilient. Fragile, yes, but what endures can actually thrive again if given the chance. If we dramatically reduced the amount burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial pollution, the Earth would eventually revert to a state of equilibrium again with all natural and unnaturally occurring forces.
