This is the name brand Epi-pen. The drug isn't patented; the pen is. Off-brand pens with the same drug cost $45 for 2.
Yeah. We can buff that out.
Almost all Div 1 colleges make beaucoup bucks from football &men's b-ball. Those 2 typically pay for themselves and the rest of sports.
Wrong. Opposite. The state is paying so no need to control costs.
UCLA accepted 35% of applicants(16K of 93K), USC was 32%(9K of 52K). Harvard 5.5% , GA Tech 32%. They make $$$ off denied fees.
Simple. Most state-level unis admit ~4-4.5K new students/yr. If 6500 students apply, demand exceeds supply by 1.5-2K. 1/2
Comm college in US is about $3200/yr incl books and fees. 4yr public is about $9500 in-state and $24K out-state. Private 4 yr is $30K.
Perfect example of why it costs so much. No thinking. This statement is as wrong as it can be. Cheap college is a community college 1/2
Lots of reasons prices are high. Some is govt fault, some is Uni's fault, some is students fault.
Demand for slots is more than avail supply, so Unis keep price high. Some kids drop out; still have debt. Some get degrees not useful. 3/3
Uni's don't cut budgets. Transfer costs to students. Kids who would have gone to trade school now blindly go to Uni and drop out. 2/3
Gov't gave money to Uni's. Uni's raised prices at 9%/year for decades because free money. Gov't says enough of this; cuts subsidies. 1/2

With the rest of the country is somehow going to fix it. Never mind standing in line with all those people will make it a 4 - 5 hour trip.
So right now you have 4 weekends & 21 weekdays to early vote, or just fill out a form and drop it in the mail. But somehow having a day off
Playing the long game. Grow the economy to get more taxes. Econ stagnated since 2007. All has grown since cuts. Taxes, jobs, wages, debt
Dropped by 1.5%. Granted they make more so 1.5% of $1mill is better than 4% of $100k. My statement was per year, yours is per decade.
$1.47 trillion is over 10 years, not per year. Second, low and mid classes (10k-195k) got avg 4% drop. Above 195 either stayed the same or
I lean conserv fiscally/slight left socially and my kids are socialists. Talking politics gets heated and I want to understand their view.
Point you have to say "my family needs this more than others". Seriously trying to understand where that line is for progressives. (2/3)
I understand and agree supporting each other. May not agree with what's needed as support. Agree with progressive taxes. But at (1/2)
Serious question: At what point has someone paid their "fair share" of taxes? 50% of income? 75%? More than they use in services?
If you tax 100% of income over 200K, you'll get about $950 bill. Not enough to pay for free college for a year, let alone Medicaid for all.
Free college=$1 trillion/year. Medicaid for all=$2.4 trillion/year. Current US budget=$3.8 trillion. SS & Medicare/aid=67% of budget.
That why EVERY US STATE that has tried govt healthcare has quit it. Even Bernies state threw in the towel. Costs are not feasible.
It's so cool there that it snowed!
I taught my son to never hit a lady. But if she hits him she's no lady, so defend yourself. Then get away ASAP.
And batter is out, not runner as I posted. Runner goes back to second. I hit post too quickly without proofreading.
The batter went from a crouch to standing. That's movement. Had she stayed low shes ok, but catcher should get the call.
First, batters can & do steal first. Second, she knows that will be an out at 3rd for batters interference based on experience.
