My wife and I are located just outside Chicago, US. We are struggling and could use a pizza or really anything right now.

Thank you.

That's a copy of the constitution. They let us all sign it. It wasn't blank, just can't see it from this distance.

But you got this. It's not your fault. You're a good person. Tell the doctors who said those things to go to hell. You aren't alone and it isn't your fault and you shouldn't be embarrassed about something just because some asshole tells you it's related to diet, which makes no sense.

I'm really sorry you were abused like that. That's really upsetting. Reading what you have shared with us, it comes across toe as if you have fully internalized that shame and self-loathing, and you react to it by subconsciously-automatically-apologizing for nothing and feeling bad about yourself

Lots of us, if not most of us, wrestle with this in one way or another. It's really difficult to have hope sometimes, especially if you don't love yourself.

I don't understand why you're ashamed or embarrassed. Is this your fault or something?

I missed it! Argh! My wife and. I are struggling hard right now (she's disabled and I lost my job) but when I get a job again I'm going to do this for someone!

edit (hit Enter too soon): The other thing I saw that made the biggest impression on me is that Russians are just like us. They want food, shelter, a family, love, friends, they're good-natured, they know and worry over their neighbors, etc.

So I went to Russia when I was in school. It was 1993, just after the fall of communism and the end of the USSR. What I saw there was Russians living in a system that had abjectly failed them, and the vast majority of Russians didn't have the sort of comforts that Americans usually take for granted.

Destroy Putin's regime, not the russians

Parrots are wonderful--I own a rescued Eclectus named Guapo--but they aren't meant to be pets. We should stop breeding birds, full stop.
