depends on what you are doing,if you're just staying in the city you just need a thin coat but you need serious stuff if you're gonna travel
there are camping sites all over but they are on the pricier side :/ we don't really have any laws about camping i think
Jarðböðin mývatnssveit for example :) that's cheaper and not as crowded and it's so great !
visit the towns up north, they have great skiing and snowboarding areas, if you don't know how to ski you can learn it in just two days ;)
I'm from Iceland and you have no idea how happy I am that this hit the fp! no-one ever talks about iceland so this is really awesome :D
