'We just assume' and herein lies the fault upon which sturgeon's law flourishes

If you truly believe you've got a bead on my credit score from my street address(can't evaluate what's not there), holiday preferences from software versions(lmao spurious correlations if anything), or desire to engage with ads from however long I've been ignoring my phone in the background of real life for(just because I didn't close the ad immediately doesn't mean I paid even a mote of attention to it) - oh man have I got some other truths you can't fathom...

If you want to feel creeped out though, try doing some of Google's audio captchas - transcribe a mysterious random snippet of chat from *who knows where*

Ip-based data and tracking cookies do far more than random voice snippets.

Occasionally yes, often though once you suspect this you'll start leaning into confirmation bias whenever you see a pattern match - easy to become hyper-paranoid to a debilitating or alienating degree after that

lets collectively sponsor it to be one, counter-marketing at the market drones

Is-is this literally a photo of your screen? I cannot, in good faith, upvote such mediocrity when the printscreen button does it better...

Lmao its a social network centered around a popularity system, with an option to opt out via hidden posts for those who don't care, don't gotta be so mellodramatic about it; you're not even obliged to reply to a comment such as mine if the whole social aspect is irrelevant for you ;)

#2 imagine we treated all trees like this though

Whoops we spent the building maintenance budget on the CEOs Christmas bonus - the CFO didn't think we were going to need that because it wasn't used for a couple years.

One can only hope - but when I see the courtesy seat preoccupied, I don't even try to ask for it if it's not being actively vacated. People like to argue about who's qualified to have priority for such seats when you're not visibly ancient, or broken in some physical manner. Hope op gives the seat up for whoever asks without fuss, they sound like s gatekeeper dickhole elsewise.

I'm sure the inpact of your fist wasn't nearly as gratifying as the incident was frustrating. Hopefully asshole bike rider learned his lesson, a little karmic injection can do a world of good

Print a feed guide of some variety, reverse the spools on the hanger, get a lower friction rod hang them from - maybe modify a tp/paper towel holder or fit a metal dowel with some bearings...

Uranium. It's uranium glass, I'm reasonably sure.

Another month in the pricey city of Vancouver Canada is coming to a close and my entire paycheck is already earmarked for rent, bills, and outstanding debt. I'd love to have a break from my own miserly meal prep and financially-induced-fasting, if anyone in the GVRD is feeling generous

Buddy...you might want to get a doctor to check that for you, I'm sure you thought you were forming coherent sentences there but reading that was just 'mental' =o

Deprived of one sensory input, the brain adapts to process more details from other senses. Practice makes perfect - as evidenced by many great musicians (fundamentally applying the same skills in different applications)

If you've posted content here with intent to market a product rather than sharing some randomly pointless image, then yes, you are pushing an ad across my face and holding my attention hostage for the short duration it takes me to recognize low effort shilling. It's no different than any propaganda, political or commercial - I'm not here to be bought sold or drink the koolaid. Sturgeon's law applies twice as hard with these things - 99% of games/ads are crap, frankly speaking.

10,000% this. My attention is the only thing of true value I possess - presume not to take it from my control and find me pleased for the distraction from my own interests. Bad marketing has no merit besides earning my disrespect for all involved. Good marketing is a product selling itself on the merits of the product itself, bad marketing comes across as low effort shills making a quick buck at the expense of everyone around then. It's not hard to be the latter sort here.

My echo location is in a nearly pitch dark cave - but I can usually see some shadows flickering on the wall.
Wait, echolocation? Not echo location? Yeah nah, I can't use echolocation outside of the echo location.

He just explained dude - echolocation, what are you deaf? /s
