Their support was already not great and now they fired most of the people providing it. Going with Oracle is riskier than it was a couple of weeks ago. The AI in their support site does little to replace the people.

I’ve only read about half, but it’s an interesting list. I’d skip “Ready, Player One,” it’s one of a very few books I liked less than the movie, and the movie had its flaws. I’d ignore Asimov’s advice about how to read his books, too. Asimov had good stuff and less good stuff and I didn’t enjoy the way he tied them all together. Pretty much the whole list is good, though.
Is he helping? Most people who aren’t racist misogynists from the less populated US states hate Trump. The only good thing Trump did for Canada was to support Poilievre so that he lost an election despite an initial lead.
Trump followed orders and Putin is happy. No one kind or sane is happy. Same old, same old.
Isn’t unprecedented humiliation a weekly thing when Trump is president? Even more so than with Bush II or Reagan.

What kind of breeder doesn’t take back an unwanted dog? My dog’s breeder is on her microchip, so if she is ever in such a situation and I can’t care for her the breeder will. Not going to happen to my dog, but any ethical breeder will make sure none of their dogs go uncared for.
There is a mass of people that demagogues can appeal to. It’s very rare that anyone tries to manipulate them for good purposes, some crowdfunding, maybe. The way to appeal to these people is to make them hate, just like in 1984. Most bad leaders, unlike say Trump or Hitler, don’t actually hate a lot of the people they victimize to gain power, but we are in exceptionally bad times.
Swedes tend to be patronizing toward immigrants, not murderous.
And there is no freedom. You lose rights if you are gay or non-white or non-male. You are attacked if you protest. You probably give more rights to your HMO and your HOA than you retain. The legal system is only there to oppress you. You are not free.
I suspect Netanyahu is as well. Both were convicted of a lot of crimes. Both never got sentenced. Netanyahu’s sentencing was scheduled, but then put off after massive crimes against humanity more than once. Looks like his judge wants him to trash his country.
You can remove Russia, and, possibly China. Putin is very satisfied with his bootlicker’s work.

They are already loosening sanctions so Putin can sell oil. Once it starts they just have to make sure Iran is a disaster, sanctions are permanently lifted, and Putin can get on with threatening Europe. Nothing good for pretty much anybody except billionaires and dictators.

They are literally dunking on the suckers and getting them to wave flags or wear red hats to show how thoroughly they are suckered. Billionaires owning media and controlling the message is really bad.
