Wasn't this semi-literally the plot of Black2/White2? Except it was "RELEASE THE KYUREM!" and a city was destroyed?
Except most of this is canon and explained in game or in pokedex/NPC text. The only stuff that is non-canon are the anime bits.

Why would you use double status and mix attack types? Giga Drain, Leech Seed, Sludge Bomb, and Synthesis are all you would need.

Infernape was pretty cool. And he was objectively the only good fire starter until Speed Boost Blaziken and Mega Charizard.
Just guessing from the Robin suit, I'd say it's a safe bet that Jason's death actually broke Bruce in this universe.

Fire/Flying is ass typing, so no. Articuno is technically the worst but Moltres isn't far behind.
