Ya know the thin power cord on a floor lamp or similar? Easy for laymen to buy just about anywhere. Cheap too. Not made for installations!
Where I live our strips are okay for this.. just look at the max wattage / amp on it and you're good. Don't cheap out on things like this.
For the love of god don't use regular "lamp cable" to connect sockets! It'll catch fire if you put a high load on it. Seen this many times
It's all about the cable dimensions, really.. number one thing people fuck up and number one thing that causes fires. Thin cables overheat!
