I call BS on the entire left side....they knew EXACTLY what they were voting for. The right side is just the side effects of the hate they chose to support.

You nailed it! I think I would have responded in a way that would have landed me in prison or worse. Of course, I think the same about much of our government behavior lately. If I ever personally encounter ICE, it will end badly for both of us.

Watching the Blue sweep gave me a glimmer of hope that MAGA can be defeated...no complacency here though, because it never should have gotten this far!

The constitution is being shredded, so term limits won't matter....the way no other laws matter to him. When you demolish half of the White House to build a tacky ballroom, that's a clear sign that there's no intent to leave.
Sadly, it isn't just Trump. The Fascist movement now encompasses so many people with power...if Trump simply vanished tomorrow, it wouldn't slow the threat at all. They'd just pop in a new figurehead and keep rolling.
Two dentists advised me against getting a bridge....saying that it will eventually cause problems with the two teeth that support it. I got an implant in Mexico for less than 10% of the US cost, and it has been wonderful - like having my original tooth back, without the pain. Congrats on being abcess-free!
While I'm glad to see some people coming around, I have NO sympathy for those who say "this isn't what I voted for", because YOU DAMN WELL DID!
Fewer than 20 stories now seems like one of the "good" days. It's sad that my threshold is now so low.
The book is a great idea. It might actually turn into a set of history books.
When I had employees with H1B visa, it wasn't to pay them less ... they were usually in the higher salary group and we incurred additional costs for them as well. There were just times when we couldn't find the specific skill or knowledge in the US. Maybe my experience is not the norm though.
#11. I'm all for opposing this regime on every front, but "churches will lose pastors"? Maybe I need more coffee to understand why any preacher warrants an H1B visa. But having religion turn against him too is still a win so I'll take it.

Just to add to the obvious irony....his Big Brutal Bill includes a ghost tax on gambling wins. Plenty of people won't figure that out until they do their 2026 taxes, but then I'd expect a lot of "big players" will become low rollers. So a slower path to his usual bankruptcy result....
