Love this, last visit to France was 2015, have spent the last few years casually learning more French and will one day get back, Disneyland Paris I especially want to visit again as I didn't really get it when I visited, I have since been properly educated by wife.

Basic conversion from NZD to USD and into Gallons, we are paying about $13.50 NZ for a Gallon, or $3.50 a litre, converts to about $7.80 USD per Gallon, for the cheapest fuel

Got back from Japan a few weeks ago, blossom season was just kicking off early, it was fantastic without all the crowds, I noted my wife was already looking at places to visit when we inevitably go back.

I can't think of a better way for him to have finished that, beautifully delivered

Having recently visited Japan, and Hiroshima I honestly feel it should be a requirement for any world leader to visit one of the memorial museums, and if they can leave that place uneffected by what they witness then it should essentially disqualify them from holding office.

Pretty much this, absolutely loved the country and the people were absolutely lovely on the surface, but stories from friends who have attempted to work there and reddit stories about people working in Japan leave a very different story.
Ideally for me I would love to learn the language and more about the culture while doing a work from home type role, encourage the right type of immegration for those who want to embrace and support the life and cultures rather than change it.

Just spent last couple of weeks in Japan, just floored at the thrift stores, I struggled to buy anything because there was just too much choice.. and the wife wasn't that interested in me picking up "junk" retro consoles to fix

That is fantastic work, great job capturing the build process, how did you cut out the pieces? laser, cnc, scroll saw?

I had always wondered why the version I had when I visited the states in my childhood held much fonder memories than when I visited as an adult, just figured it was taste buds

Owaka, can't say I ever imagined to see that little town showing up on Imgur

I got a bit frustrated attempting to walk around Orlando, I did do some non footpath walking but certainly was eye opening coming from NZ where you can basically just walk anywhere.

My two young daughters are the only grandchildren from all sides of the family, so inheritance is the only hope I have of them ever managing to strike out on their own.

Certainly that would be enough to convince my daughters, we would have multicoloured chickens.

Wouldn't work, the only reason a mouse might work is not actually using the USB standard, so would have to be an old mouse that came out at the time those PS2 to USB adaptors were included with them

A USB ball mouse maybe, DB9 removes the power stopping optical mouses, but you can inject that back in with yet another adapter

Unless the border comes to you, which is just a scary thing to consider.

Yeah, that is all well and good till you destroy the stupidly expensive pair of wired headphones considerably better than the airpods, I have a few audiophile friends which certainly wouldn't be holding back, especially one that has a custom made over the ear set.. mind you he can replace the cable on that.

Multiple times, was chuckling at that

Posted this into a group chat full of like minded friends, essentially we all feel the same way, we have nerdy hobbies and things we enjoy doing, leave is be to do those things and don't try replacing them with stuff that is going to drain what little energy I have left at the end of the week

Thanks for the positive vibes, he was certainly a lot happier this morning and eating more than he has for the last few days, still taking him to the vets tomorrow but feeling a lot more positive.

Wish my Orange boy was eating, off to the vets and fear it may be the last visit, he is still being cuddly though

I would also like more information on this, I assume there is something in the bottle attracting the fish, they swim in and can't swim back out.

Similar in NZ, I tend to let my leave roll over for a couple years, then take a decent 6 odd week overseas holiday.

What should actually be happening is what happens everywhere else in the world, both Juan and the guy who showed up 5min ago should be able to get healthcare regardless and neither have to pay $1000 a month for it. The most insane thing as someone looking in from the outside is the reliance on the private insurance industry for all things medical.
