My wife got it a few years back and I go to get tested for various kinds. I think it depends mostly on your country’s healthcare, I have to insist with doctors to test it since they think it’s mainly in my head (but this is what they told my wife until they found hers too…)

I moved to Atlanta from Stockholm last year. IMO the US isn’t as bad as I feared from all Imgur posts and news. There are big flaws, but there are many good things too! Although it was always temporary for me (moving back later this year) but still I’ve enjoyed it a lot! Can’t speak for Richmond though
Agree! I’ve lived in the US for a year now, and whatever is American is by default the best unless proven otherwise (beyond all doubt), I work with well educated, well travelled people. Superiority complex is my bet on why

Thank you for this explanation, I found it insightful! What I don’t get though is why it’s different? Can’t chemical imbalance be triggered by external factors? Like adrenaline changes the chemical balance and is definitely triggered by external stimuli, why couldn’t depression do the same? Or does the chemical imbalance remain after some trauma?

I got diagnosed with celiacs about 5 years ago (I’m 35 today). I reacted in a very similar way as you seem to do. It’s difficult at first but it get oh so much easier after a while. There are alternative bread that is good, beer w low gluten. Soy is most often not a problem (fermented in wheat but it’s very low gluten values in the actual soy sauce when tested). Lastly, learn to bake a bit :) it’s quite fun and ups your bread and pastries a lot!

Yeah, life really is full with moments of disillusionment.. I’ve been promoted a few times at the company I work for, and each time I’m surprised about how little thought and insight goes into being a higher level manager. It’s mostly about how to dress up basic ideas in fancy clothes and making it sound great / complex. Pretty sad tbh
Please please also post some progress pics during the project! Would be so cool to follow it, this is the dream project! Rock on!!
