Long time lurker, really enjoy the positivity and rational discourse of this community. This is my only social media account, and I really enjoy the anonymity of it. It has , In few instances made me re-evaluate some of my attitudes and beliefs and become a better person. Solely on the fact that we can have a logical and rational debate about certain issues without resorting to the “admitting i am wrong shows weakness attitude.” I personally have changed views upon previously beliefs that I held strongly to, simply because I was shown the fallacies in my beliefs in a calm, rational, and well articulated response that challenged my way of thinking without it turning into a straight up argument. In short, this community has made be a better person simply by showing me how to be a better person, without condemning my misinformed opinions, but simply offering a different perspective on issues that I would have never considered on my own.
