I feel you. I was just asked to help train staff on automated audits...The audits I currently manually support and was not included in the automation of. I feel like my days are numbered.

I think the idea here is the ownership, less than the rental. I have a hard time finding movies I used to love now. It's not on the streaming services. And even when it is, they can be "bought" and still disappear if that service goes out of business or decides that particular product wasn't worth the investment. It was nice to be able to buy media back in the day and always have it.

Can we stop calling it 9-5? I didn't know any employer who's still paying the employees for their lunch break. Let's call it 9-6, or more realistically 9-5:30 (but you better be working at your desk during lunch).
You sound like you've done your due diligence to investigate options, but I want to throw this out there just in case: My coworker got a new treatment done since he had apnea that was otherwise incurable. (Something is wonky about his anatomy.) I don't know the name of the procedure, but the basic concept is that they put an electrical stimulator into your body and it zaps your tongue every time it senses you breathing at night. The zap contracts the tongue and moves it out of the way.
As someone with a weirdly giraffe-like neck myself, I felt seen. Haha
The point was made regardless of the specifics of the individual. The idea is that you presumably have people in your life that you care about and that care about you. The generalizability is obvious.
To be fair, I think there is some evidence that EDS has been chronically underdiagnosed for years.
I respectfully disagree. Rest and boredom are different. Reading a book is restful, even rejuvenating. It is not boring. Boredom allows for processing of emotions and memories. Boredom increases creative thought. You need both,but they are different.
It makes me sad that people care so much about their video social points that they will force an animal to suffer longer and be treated more harshly in these kinds of interactions. Put the phone down, approach swiftly, and use two hands so you can neatly encircle the bird. This way, the bird panics for less time and is less likely to sustain feather damage or bruising.
As a straight woman who just recently got that same haircut, I appreciate your statement. Here's hoping I'm half as attractive as she is! ;P
I think most people would define the age of independence as the early 20s, not the thirties.

#12 I needed to see this. We so often hide post-partum bellies in our society that we never see that anyone else has a belly like ours. It's been hard for me to adjust to my new body, even a year and some change later.
I wonder about this myself. Like, how can you not have either scars from the surgery or stretch marks or saggy skin? How do they always seem super human? I'd love to normalize stretch marks and all, but until society gets there, I'm also going to wonder how some people seemingly get around a completely natural and unavoidable byproduct of pregnancy without even a hint at the how.
This could end up hurting someone else. Let's stick to something that's annoying but not harmful.
Anyone have the steets on this? I don't recognize the block, but I'd like to know where they are.
