Don't they have to? I wasn't aware you could even write a subpoena for a position rather than a person?

Yes and no; almost all their drone manufacturing is now domestic, and they build around half their cruise missiles.

And yes, the Senate Launch System is a rocket stuff with pork, but it does work. Unlike someone elses super heavy lift rocket....

NASA has a significant ROI. They generate a lot of science that gets monetized by private business, do shitloads of climate research, a lot of groundbreaking aerodynamic testing, and even make gains in medical technology.
Their space telescopes alone have drastically improved medical imaging no less than 3 times.
If you want to complain about the US wasting money, there are SOOOOOOOO many better examples than NASA. The war on Iran has already cost double NASA's budget in just 3 weeks.

America starting an obvious war of aggression
Israel regretting their decision and screaming about war crimes every day
America literally proclaiming they will be committing war crimes in Iran
They're already $45bn in and asking for $200bn
And after everything is said and done and the war is over, Iran will still be exactly the same.

They're like Italy in the summer of 1939. They just came off a string of successful invasions against substantially weaker nations and completely unaware of their flagrant lack of military talent compared to other western nations. They're hitting "Italy Greek invasion 1941" with the war on Iran; they did so badly in the opening salvo they need their bigger fascist ally to come save them.

He's a white supremacist "let's start a crusade" type. He was definitely onboard the moment it was mentioned to him.
And just like the crusades of old, it's going to result in the destruction of the place it was meant to protect, and ultimately make Islamic states even stronger.

PETA legitimately infiltrated pet stores and animal suppliers for the purpose of filming themselves doing heinous shit to try and slander those retailers. I know of an animal supplier that set up an internal camera system specifically because this happened to other businesses.
They are not good people. They are terrorists. They will hurt and kill animals to further their agenda.

Dang I need to start watching it again. I stopped in season 2 because the time travel thing is my least favourite aspect of Star Trek. It's usually my measure of jumping the shark, but good to know S3 is better!

Which is wild if you consider that US soldiers, in a combat zone, have SIGNIFICANTLY more restraint than US police officers.

She's got that background near her hair that says "I don't know what the fuck I was supposed to draw here, here's some garbage"

I would fucking hope so, yet Alina Habba somehow still has her law license despite criminally misleading a client, among all the other bullshit she's done.

Oh certainly not. But it's the worst in other ways. The last time the US was this woefully unprepared for a war was 1812. They didn't do any social engineering to create support for the war, they didn't falsify intelligence to drag allies in, they didn't brief anyone before going in, the military itself was shockingly unprepared, and the whole reason for the war is almost exclusively personal to the president, which in itself is an insane concept.

Pretty sure she's just going to lie to congress. What are they gonna do? Hold her in contempt? Cause they haven't exactly been doing fuck all about it lately.

Listen, you guys are going to have to absolutely harass the fuck out of every sitting democrat politician RELENTLESSLY until they finish doing what needs to be done.
I'm talking MAGA-turning-on-MTG-after-angry-trump-post levels of harassment.
Don't resort to threats, but they need to be more frightened by the consequences of failing to act, than the consequences of being the republican party's compliant little bitch.

The AI's ability to code is an amalgamation of all the code posted to the internet, not just the good stuff, but ALSO THE INCORRECT CODE that people want FIXED.
Now consider that among coders, there are people who code well, and those who don't. And that optimized code is different for every application. The BEST coders probably don't even have time to post code.
So what AI produces is essentially median code with a bias for errors.
Therefore: AI produces shit code.

The language is important because it's about promoting a simple popular message without overtly creating division, we fill in the blanks. We don't want to do like the US and have the govt spread divisive and hateful messaging. "Don't buy American" also traps the govt into scrutiny on everything IT buys; like F35s.

"Buy Canadian" is legislation for govt agencies and crown corps, it just mandates they prioritize Canadian suppliers. It's also a language thing:
"Don't buy American" is a command with negative connotations, we're more likely to disobey. There's also issues with the govt targeting the US.
"Buy Canadian" is a command with positive connotation, it resonates better, and we all understand the context. It won't affect us buying Italian produce.

Sounds like those states should start mobilizing their militia.
What's he gonna do? Go down as the president who started the second civil war?

Ukraine is making some really impressive long range strikes. I can't wait for them to start hitting Vladivostok (again)

It's probably about to get buried under reports of dozens of dead soldiers killed in their "2 to 3, maybe 5 to 6 week special military operation"

Oh there have been many immoral wars before, but never has there been a war to distract the media from the presidents prolific child sex trafficking operation.

In boating, situations that would leave you floating in the ocean for hours have significant overlap with situations in which a life jacket would no longer be available.

I don't think they really care unless you're a POG in a combat zone.

When people talk about WW2 Germany, no one ever says that we should have eliminated all the GERMANS.
It's not the people of Israel we hate, it's the state. It's the Nazi's. If the people of Israel also happen to be Nazi's, well that is what it is.
The middle east has been fairly stable since the Yom Kippur war, BUT FOR all the shit that Israel has been starting. And they had nukes since the 6 day war. Nuclear weapons only protect you from nuclear powers.

Doesn't the US only have like one division trained specifically for mountain warfare?
Also, they don't have Canadians to do the heavy lifting for them this time.
