Oh no it’s just cardboard and biscuit dough. The sound is just loud and can surprise you if it pops early. No danger.
Well sometimes. You’re supposed to press down on the cardboard seam to open the tube but it pops on it’s own sometimes. You never know when
They pop open once you remove the outer paper. I’m actually also afraid of opening biscuit cans. Probably anxiety.

I’m from D.C. and just realized there’s no difference in my pronunciation of these words.
