This was always kind of the Achilles heel. If EV is more expensive to buy and maintain, tons of people will just buy an ICE car instead. Some are civic-minded and will buy EV because of the environment, or because they like the concept, but the vast majority of people will just go for the cheaper option.

These are great, positive, affirmational statements (and if my man is actually from Baltimore like me, his kids are gonna need that in the public school system there) but in a vacuum this just leads to narcissism and needlessly challenging authority for every minor thing. Context is important.

It's definitely horse shit, because as someone who graduated college 30 years ago, there definitely were students who fucked off and didn't want to learn. Instead of being glued to tiktok they were playing Frisbee on the quad and smoking pot.
