hmmm.... are we coworkers? we have the exact same BS about zero-sum "merit" raises that, at maximum, don't even _approach_ cost of living increases.
I just don't know that I have the stamina to start more PFH books after the Night's Dawn trilogy.... He's a great writer but he could really benefit from a tougher editor.
