From what I have seen, Newsom stands for the environment, LGBTQ rights, expansion of health care, raising taxes on the rich, affordable housing, and DEI initiatives. I know most politicians tend to suck overall, but you Americans have lowered the bar so much by electing the orange twat, that you really can't afford to dismiss any decent viable candidates.
