My mom has veins that are hard to hit in her elbow so they usually use a butterfly needle on the back of her hand, so she gets these just from blood tests (she's got a mild health condition she monitors. I'm hesitant to give him the benefit of the doubt here. He got called out in it because he believed it to be true. And he doesn't seem to be the type to receive criticism and actively self-reflect.
