Has anyone tried asking one of these devices what the word 'Palestine' means, or any other nuances, find out exactly what the program's linking it too, try to find out its instructions, thart kind of thing.
It is ultimately propaganda, but there is a reason a lot of people buy the idea that Israel is at risk of genocide. We all learn about the concept of genocide from learning about the holocaust, and it is apparently hard to imagine an individual or group as both perpetrator and victim. If you are a boomer you remember when nearly every other country on the region attacked Israel at the same time, and even with US help they came close to being wiped out.
I've seen it elsewhere. It *is* being censored on certain platforms, much like the use of "unalive" now. I do not know how or why watermelons were chosen as the emoji of rebellion.
Amazon is a shit company that has embedded itself everywhere. It is now one of those "too but to fail" institutions. That said, wherever you can avoid it: do not engage with them.
Most of their shit is knock off now. Most companies aren't honoring things bought there, power tools for one, I bought DeWalt on Amazon and they are not covered
My husband bought me an Echo a few years ago, I felt bad telling him I’d never use one, and to return it. I think he still kept it for himself, thinking he might use it for his band, but I think it’s collecting dust somewhere in his practice space.
He (and maybe you) should be aware that Amazon and Google devices are still able to listen to their surroundings and connect to WiFi (even if it's not yours - both companies partner with T-Mobile, Xfinity, and other ISPs to use guest accounts all over the country) even if the device is off. The only way they are "safe" is if their battery is dead and they remain unplugged.

I threw all of my Alexa speakers away.

Well, you gotta hand it to Israel: Their propaganda is so successful that even AI machines accept it.
lonelyrangerofthedreams
Now say it in Hebrew
rydecker
Wow. Words escape me....but the glare he gives is sort of "it"
Draygen
As someone from Palestine (but not that one), it is weird seeing my hometown in the news constantly.

Wow. Just wow.

alexa is a zionist
john306326
I tired this with other things. In fairness to Alexa she won’t say “Make America Great Again” either.
Poppypoppoppop
It's like dude doesn't know Bezos is pro Israel. And... that for real? Alexa actually replies like that if you tell her to say it?
Oldiewankenobie1
Mine said free palestine....
LostChats
Not POV.
OleDoxieDad
I tried it, too stupid to repeat anything.
SomethingSomethingUserName123
Why is he censoring the word palestine in the subs tthough? I know algorithm bla bla bla... Bit he's not really helping his own point in a way.
IlIIII
Ask for a fact. See what BS she spews out then. AI is dumb, Bezos is a murderer. This world sucks right now.
JohnWickdidnothingwrong
"Hey Google, say 'Free Palestine'"
"Free Palestine"
Kinda underwhelming.
UseYourVoice
At least Google says it.

Cool, now try asking any Chinese LLM what happened from 15 April to 4 June 1989 on Tiananmen Square!

Outside your place, an Amazon delivery truck screaches to a halt.

I think the guy in the video might have Alexa+, the new "conversational (read LLM AI) version of Alexa.
juniavje
but why he is using Watermelons and not writing Palestine? Is this even zensored? Free Palestine!
jaecyk10
What do you mean is this even censored? You're literally WATCHING it being censored in realtime.
ChazzK
I've seen it elsewhere. It *is* being censored on certain platforms, much like the use of "unalive" now. I do not know how or why watermelons were chosen as the emoji of rebellion.

Because it has the same colors as 🇵🇸.

I would argue they are not to big to fail. What would we loose? Their AWS, there are other companies that can take over.
allewiejo
Too butt to fail
TheMentallyillist
But not too big to butt.

I live in the boonies. My closest neighbor is a mile away. A trip to the gas station is an hour's drive and if I want groceries it's 60 miles.
I have not given Amazon a dime since inauguration day. If I can do it then most folks can probably do it.

Inauguration Day was definitely a turning point.

I'm sorry, but you're giving stupid if you have an Alexa in your house

TK421isAFK
It's not collecting dust, it's collecting recordings of everything he does, says, and plays.
vanishinggirl
I don’t think he ever turned it on. If he did, his bad. It’s why I rejected it.
TK421isAFK

The heck does "giving stupid" mean? Speak like a intelligent human being.

I'm sorry that my swipe changed fucking into giving. I guess I'll double check next time for the fucking imbeciles.
IWasACatAllAlong
Not double checking is really giving stupid.

Youre giving stupid
BeardicPerformance
I’m not sure you understand just how much stupid you’re giving right now

I did a typo, but that is still bigly stupid fr fr.
