Civil rights organizations including the NAACP filed suit in Georgia to protect Fulton County voter data that the FBI seized at White House direction. Given this administration's actions in Philadelphia and elsewhere, that seems prudent.

Congress is out but your representatives and senators still have offices and phones. Call or write them and tell them you see the racism running rampant through this executive branch. Demand they protect vulnerable communities.

Especially on the surface, Newsom is a really tough candidate to beat.

There are some pretty bad things too, but I'm always reminded that desiring the presidency should be disqualifying.

I hate to tell you, but it is racism, misogyny, and corruption all the way down. But I do miss the days when the powerful folks were at least pretending to care.

I'm aware of the problems, quite sadly. When I was born, none of them had this much money or power. That's what I want back.

I want much, much more than that, but I want that back as part of it all.
