The President of the United States spent Easter morning threatening to bomb 93 million people into darkness and signed it "Praise be to Allah."

Donald Trump posted his ultimatum to Iran at 8:03 a.m. on the holiest day of the Christian calendar, then skipped church. He promised to destroy the country's power plants and bridges by Tuesday night if the Strait of Hormuz stays closed. The world, including our allies, saw it and understood that a man accused of being a burgeoning autocrat treats mass civilian suffering as a bargaining chip.

In the summer of 1974, when congressional Republicans realized they couldn't save Richard Nixon, Barry Goldwater rode to the White House with Republican leaders and told the president it was over. It is time for their successors to make that same trip and tell this president that Americans will not stand for him killing innocents in a war they never wanted. Call your representatives through Resistbot and 5 Calls and demand Republican leadership go to the White House before the bombs fall.

Maybe the regulation that we need with these bullshit conglomeration deals is that if you don't personally have it you can't buy it. You shouldn't be allowed to take on partners that's it you can't afford it fuck you you can't run to the Saudis and take their fucking blood money.

Bam! Today's winner. Very nicely done.

He will become more and more desperate and dangerous as the midterms get closer. We all need to be aware of this.

The US are going to send random people to some sort of gulag or whatever in Congo?

5 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's been the very expensive plan.

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The sad thing is, a lot of his followers will take more offense from the "praise be Allah" than the threat of war crimes.

#1 - Iran will retaliate by closing the Strait of Bab-el-Mandeb blocking all oil & LNG ships from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar and Kuwait. You think its bad now blocking gives Big Oil a reason to jackup pump prices even more.

That's 2000km away from Iran. So the Houtis would have to take care of that.

#2 "The victims had sued under the Anti-Terrorism Act, which was signed into law in 1992 to open U.S. courts to victims of international terror attacks."

Ah, so the courts will be accepting Palestinians counter-suing over American and Israeli terror attacks, right? They won't just decide that no, this law only protects us, not you, RIGHT?!

Ugh.

Thought the same thing. Half the globe should be suing them. Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Venezuela, Yemen, Vietnam, Korea, for starters, and let’s not forget the nuclear weapons dropped on Japan.

Do you want it to happen? Because it totally can.

4 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No because I don't want to explain it to everyone I pass! :D

#6 So, now we won't be able to trust CNN too!

5 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Correct. Next we could well see Superman becoming like homelander or Batman supporting the US govt.

5 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that's exactly why that was written that way. Gulf royalty finally got their red, white, and blue news cover.

#3 There has been way too little public and media outrage over this. Asylum seekers from Central and South America who can't legally be deported to their country of origin where they're facing persecution are instead deported to African countries that were extorted with high tariffs into accepting them for free. No one knows what might happen to them. For all we know the US has outsourced a genocide to cheap labor countries.Or they might be sent to their home countries to be killed there instead

5 days ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

Or they're put into slavery or conditions very similar thereof (hard labour in likely unsafe conditions for no or next to no compensation past the minimal amenities to survive, likely with no say in it or no other viable alternative effectively forcing them to do this even if it is ""voluntary"").

My awful take is they're throwing everyone out of the planes over the Atlantic

5 days ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

considering the amount of planes taking off, flying out, and then coming back without landing anywhere else, with none of the passengers they originally supposedly had on board, you're probably right

5 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't put it past this psychotic administration.

Insane. Thank you, George

You're welcome. Glad you in the swirl with us.

Long arm cat nest for you. More pictures tomorrow. Thanks as always for delivering the horrors in a digestible package.

Hopefully there was also a big stretch involved later.

Best we keep in mind if Trump does bomb civilian infrastructure that is certainly a war crime.

It may be no surprise that a convicted criminal would break the law but that would still be one more black mark that could one day put Trump in the Hague.

5 days ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 1

There is no consequence for the ruch and wealty in the usa plus he moat likely will die as a 0resident in the next 8 years

5 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't know why but I heard this in the voices of Hugh Laurie and Rowan Atkinson in Blackadder.

5 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Personally I lost hope in repercussions when he just ignored being impeached

5 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I do believe he already committed a war crime on day one with the school bombing. And I don't know if it counts as a "war" crime since there's no official war (then again, neither is there against Iran) but there were all those folks on boats in the Caribbean that the military was directed to execute.

Also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Service-Members%27_Protection_Act . Good luck with the Hague thing. And I know it sounds sarcastic, but I mean it. Just be aware it'll require changes.
