The truth is, the site is still here, it still functions, people will always come back. But it's rotten inside. The heart doesn't bear any more. The new owners killed it.

This place looks like the community driven home that use to run events so that the humans would have a great time (e.g. Camp Imgur) but now, the new owners care so little that they've publically announced they're not even doing Secret Santa. (They called it "Sunsetting Secret Santa" and let us know we won't be participating any more)

The new owners are not treating the users well. They state that their values are their users, but their interest is only in profiting from our engagement. We are told we can't post nudity, then find sexually explicit ads for services and toys underneath our posts. They tell us they're excited to announce a community dress-up day, or Show Us Your Desk day - and then use real examples, with real pictures of Imgurians to send to advertisers, letting them know they can control us.
Her posts explain everything, go back a few weeks and read them in order.
