No one is excusing anything. It's just clear that this guy has mental issues that are not being addressed and that's ultimately why this happened. Understanding why it happens doesn't excuse the behavior, but it's less about someone just being overtly evil and more about their issues going unaddressed. The outcomes are the same, which is shitty, but we shouldn't be so callous to the cause either.
I did say terrorized
Shuddering imagining the insurance and property taxes alone
Yeah, this whole thing is really hard to watch and not from a cringe perspective. We're watching someone who is sick and he's getting turned into a lolcow over it. Sucks for the people he terrorized obviously but this is just terrible all around.
Did you listen to any of the explanations about why this isn't the silver bullet you think it is or are you just convinced that insurance magically insulates companies from losses no matter what
The rates of it occurring within those communities is higher, yes, on account of them being attracted to those communities naturally - not that it literally creates them. Important distinction, but yeah it's not great over there
This is a mental episode. It can happen to anyone.
It's backwards-looking so it's fair to say. Besides revenue, it could also mean valuation and include capital instead of simply revenue
Lost...in revenue compared to prior years I'm assuming which is a fair statement to make
I'm not saying it's *the* solution but I will not discourage labor militancy in any respect. If someone is willing to put themselves out there, then more power to em as far as I'm concerned. Have to hit these bastards in their wallets or nothing changes.
The workers are fine. They will continue to be paid under CA law.
I'd argue this is part of unionizing and you're underestimating the impact of this even assuming there's a full insurance payout here
Couple things. If you're familiar with the history of unions, then you wouldn't be talking shit about someone burning down a warehouse.Second, I'm aware a better strategy is electorally removing these restrictions on organization in key industries. I'm for it.
How are you supposed to organize if you're immediately thrown in jail the moment you start doing itLike do you get this even a little bit

You're missing the part where they can literally be thrown in jail and fined tens of thousands of dollars for even attempting
"You need strong unions""What about unions in key industries that can't""You just need em"Okay boss great point
Tldr the workers get full pay. Chill.
There's even a search term in the bottom left of the image lmao
Insurance premiums rising are still a net positive there. The workers will be fine
First time hearing about Tidewater Marine Western, Inc. v. Bradshaw (1995) 32 Cal.App.4th 968?
I don't think any of them are getting denied unemployment lmfao
Fascism is imperialism turned inward
No injuries
Know what we called Nazi sympathizers and people who tolerated them back in the 40s?Nazis.
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say episode 3 is your favorite movie in the series
Centrists are just embarrassed Republicans
You're literally wasting your breath. Spend your time on attack instead of crying to refs that aren't there
It originated from finance bros trading on white house palace intrigue
I try not to push back on the narrative too hard because it is effective propaganda against the Trump admin, but at a certain point if people don't understand the dynamics here at all then we're kind of fucked when it comes to organizing resistance to US foreign policy
