SNAP Educator here. Whole grains + healthy oils. 1 tbsp of oil per day is the recommended serving size. Add beans to your rice. Add protein to your whole grain breads. Focus on complex carbs that keep you full throughout the day.

Yes to boundaries. Yes to there is no redemption for pedos. But we are forgetting that we do need to allow space for people to learn from their mistakes. This leads to better allies, new norms, and less people resisting because it's difficult for some to admit wrong doing. This also helps people learn to heal on both sides.

SNAP Educators here. Cooking vegetables can reduce the amount of nutrients in the vegetable. You can grate the orange peel on top of your fajitas to keep up the C. Or consider juicing the orange over your fajitas!

Does Coco have any medical issues or special needs? We live in Illinois but like to travel for outdoor hiking and climbing with our two male cockatiels. A trio of cockatiels is exactly what the doctor ordered

Has anyone seen those database sites that hold information from primary sources like NIH or CDC but you can use them like a search engine? For instance: https://clinicalgate.com/fetal-physiology I don't really trust these but I've noticed a lot more people citing these sites instead of primary sources. Personally I think these sites include more biases and non peer reviewed sources. I'm curious to see how others feel about them.

She sounds like a beautiful soul. I'm glad you got to know her even though the time spent with her was short. What a beautiful friendship!

I agree with educating the young on how to fuel their bodies. I also think youth should be empowered to influence food policies at school so they gain autonomy back. It's also interesting how people think healthy fruits and vegetables are expensive. Our SNAP program also taught budget friendly ways to cook and grocery shop. Processed food is actually more expensive because of how far it can travel, plus it doesn't keep you full.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm sure your sweet baby knows you loved him all the same!

Daily exercise habits and climate. Also similar as to why dogs develop more dietary issues when being fed processed dog food instead of home cooked dog food. Dog breeds are from different regions and have different diets. Regardless, eating foods that are nutrient dense versus calorie dense is healthier for any body.

As a SNAP Educator, I agree with that the chemical stuff is probably untrue. However, the food system is designed to sicken lower class working families based on low cost foods having addictive properties. This is similar to how certain cuisines such as Polynesian food, indigenous peoples food, African American food were all influenced by the scraps white colonizers would provide. The original diets of the people indigenous to the land were suited to their 1/2

There is a reason they call it comfort food. I teach this in SNAP Education, or did... Until the orange idiot and his band of measeled men defunded the department nationwide

As a spooky goth girl, that's an insult to demons.

1) yes! She got it right at the start of peri and avoided additional/ceased the symptoms. 2) She said the pain lasted about five seconds. Similar to getting a wart removed with liquid nitrogen. I would check with your gyno!

Idk I'm a big fan of the "I'm very disappointed in you/your choices". Makes you sound like the bigger person and you get to gloat in a way that promotes emotional intelligence.

My mom got an ablation so she could avoid all those symptoms. It's an outpatient procedure with minimal pain. Way less than an IUD.

as a SNAP Educator. I just want you all to know that a keto diet can be a great TRANSITION into healthier eating, but it's NOT SUSTAINABLE. Part of the diet that isn't emphasized enough is that vegetables should be consumed regularly. EVERYONE NEEDS FIBER to digest meat.

Actually it's not. Because my grandparents said exactly "I didn't flee Poland for this".

You may want to consider using a different browser or searching tool. It's possible that the top results in Google are purposely biased at the moment.

I'm tonight not because I like this, but because this is a good idea and we should raise awareness.

As a person of Mexican descent and an anthropologist, each country of Latin decent has their own interpretation of race. But the main fact is that they still believe superiority lies with whiter skin, blue eyes, lighter hair. However, other factors that influence perception of racial superiority are location of residence, class, and occupation.

As a SNAP Educator, yes. The research shows that the microbiome in the gut can produce bacteria caused by fermentation of food like protein. That bacteria needs fiber to move the bacteria and prevent it from throwing off the microbiome.

Not to mention you need those plant fibers and whole to digest protein better.

In a Handmaid's Tale, they discuss how the switch to a protein rich diet with high fats ends up giving a lot of the citizens hypertension and high cholesterol. The point is to make sure we're unhealthy so that we can't rebel.
