Agree. One house to live in is entirely expected, a second to recreate in is reasonable, especially since those usually aren't nice to live in full time. Once you get into 3+, the tax man comes a calling

Also, learn to read and write ASAP. Doesn't matter if you didn't know what the sounds mean but the alphabet is crazy easy to learn, and it really helps with menus and street signs
If you're American, bring your own sheets. They didn't really do fitted sheets, though I admit it's been a while since I was there, maybe that's changed?

And unlike dogs, who can be heavy enough to set off the mines, they never seem to get bored or discouraged, they just kinda keep on keeping on and living the good life regardless of how often they find a mine
That's the beauty of the rats! They're so light they don't set off the mines, and they're happy working less than an hour a day for all the treats they can handle! No one dies, by all accounts the rats are respected and well cared for. APOPO is the organization
