Soooo many Americans arriving here in the Cotswolds (UK) in the last few months. House prices were already very high but this is making them ridiculous.
I have taken four international vacations in the last 12 months. Unlike previously, I met not a single American, but suddenly there are lots of "Canadians".
BS! I've seen it and its a sun-lit rock shimmering with heat haze. That was in July and I see no reason for it to be different now.
As long as the US does not fix the ability for a president to take on the power of a king it can't be trusted.
My 2022 BMW motorcycle is all Torx screws and I had to buy a couple of sets of tools to work on it. So this is nothing new, it just means having to buy some more tools, which guys love doing anyway.
Paris is a dump. Barcelona is crowded and over-priced.
If that nuclear plant was built with a cooling tower then it stands to reason it needs a cooling tower. Or was it woke and so just needed to go?
I know that the US health system has it's problems but some folks there aren't doing themselves any favours.
Didn't realise that was Musk's kid. Thought it was another vid of an Epstein+Trump party.
I'm not sure what crown the "English Crown" is supposed to be. I don't think there is one named that. Closest might be St Edward's Crown from the UK Crown Jewels but that has purple cloth.
FYI: They taste of nothing.
Hey, that was in my home town of Ipswich! I remember that.
There's the USA's choice...Either pay a Trump Tax of 10%+ on an import or buy it made-in-the-USA at 100%+ more.
Simply had to be a RyanAir flight.
Thousands of miles of public right of ways across the countryside.
My brother and cousin one drunken night buried my cousin's Jack Russell dog on the shore of that reservoir - Rutland Water. I don't thick that's it's remains though but the scale is hard to tell from the picture.
After an older post of yours, I checked the online old OS maps for the area around my home in Ipswich. There was a mark very near where my home would later built on the 1881/82 map that was still recorded on the 1938 map after my house was built. I looked carefully in the area but sadly there was nothing in the area that could hold a mark and the pavement had been tarmacked over long ago. If anyone want to see the map its at: https://maps.nls.uk/view/101578418
Most WW1 war horses were killed on-site to save the cost of shipping them home, where no one wanted them anyway.
Now I know where NASA got the design for Perseverance's wheels.
"I don't care how fucking runny it is".
Two things: You need a really fresh, crisp onion to get it as fine as this, otherwise it'll stick and snag as you slice. Also - it makes little difference to most recipes to cut an onion so finely.
About 25 years ago when riding a hired HD along that bit of road I stopped to take photos and a mountain lion casually walked out of the brush 10 feet from me. It seemed even more surprised than me and after a quick check it disappeared back into the undergrowth.
I suppose there might be some sense to it. You could need the form-factor of a large battery to fit a particular mounting position but don't need all the capacity or you can get the same capacity from a smaller battery due to it being a newer technology.
I was working in Boston and went out in the evenings with some locals. First night out we went to an Irish bar and I didn't notice the Noraid poster in the window. The server wouldn't take a beer order from me. Two nights later we went to another bar/restaurant and when the server there heard my accent he whispered in my ear that it would be best if I left as there were several Irish in the place that night.
Boston (USA): The only place that I as a white Englishman have been subject to racism. Was refused service in a bar and a restaurant on different nights.
A simple way to cool down on a hot day is to place your wrists under a running cold tap/faucet/stream. You have some heavy blood flow near the surface there and you can quickly cool your blood.
I've visited this place twice, about 20 years apart, the second time earlier this year. Its as pristine and as well-visited now as it was before. There's also an excellent memorial/exhibition in Arnhem itself.
Green Tractor Eggs in Henley, Suffolk, UK near me has a machine that does the same thing. £1.50 per 1/2 doz. Unfortunately the chickens are kept in barns and fed pellets, so not the best eggs. Other places nearby with just a few chickens and a 'honesty box' have better eggs.
I started running regularly at 60. Lost 30+ lbs, dropped my blood pressure a lot, cured my insomnia, and regularly get comments about looking 10 years younger. What's not to like?
