Where I live, there is no footpath. Curb to property line /fence line is half an inch. It sucks.

Sure, I would agree with the degree of the act. DND, KOTOR, Mass Effect, Fable, any other reputation/alignment system that comes to mind - it's not flipping a Good/Evil switch but a gradual build-up of choices. True Neutral and Chaotic Neutral, going by PHB, could easily have tortured the Orcs and remained true to their personal creeds. Bards are even specifically mentioned in Chaotic Neutral. Other party members could have objected, of course, and you could have some really good RP as a result.

Alignment in DND simply explains the typical behavior of a character - emphasis on typical. An evil act does not evil alignment make. It's extremely easy to justify committing a horrible act for the Greater Good, because Lives Are At Stake. A good DM will capitalize on that and perhaps subtly place similar choices in the future and if they continue making them, make it pay off later, but it's not like every player is a Paladin where they do something bad and instantly become an Oathbreaker.

Yeah, I really would have liked to know about the potential dramatic personality changes and angry mood swings that could occur with Topamax/Topiramate for migraines. Would've helped!

guys I think they were trying to say "vote Republican" in response to the guide of "How to Destroy Public Services" not just telling people to vote Republican. At least that's my interpretation.

Without knowing more, it's impossible to say what sort of place this is. Sometimes animals cannot be returned to the wild so providing them with as comfortable a place as possible while educating the public is the best possible outcome.

"They would eat a literal shit sandwich if they thought a liberal would have to smell their breath." Disgusting, evocative, accurate. 10/10, no further notes.

This is an old picture. It's much, much worse now.

Oh for sure. I get why some people were disappointed - an epic lightsaber battle between an old Jedi and a young Sith would have made for a great climax, a send-off of a legend, especially after using an adaptation of Vader's leitmotif for Luke's walk out of the bunker. But the lead-up with little clues (like him leaving no footprints in the salt after pointedly having a soldier scrape some and taste it earlier) was also enjoyable. Overall, an egregious movie but some worthwhile small parts.

My guess is that a lot of people had the nostalgia goggles on - not tight enough to see the parallels, but too tight to see the common trope.

I have no idea why people criticize that so heavily - that was classic character development. Young new protagonist discovers older, jaded previous protagonist whose had behavior is in stark contrast to previous experiences with him. Old protagonist acts as jaded mentor to new protagonist, gradually revealing the old protagonist's experiences that led to their reclusive behavior. Eventually, new protagonist's youthful enthusiasm inspires old protagonist to come to their aid when in need.

Having passwords saved in a browser has actually helped my grandfather avoid getting scammed. He clicked on a link in a (admittedly well-done) phishing email but got suspicious when his email and password didn't autofill like usual, and reached out about it.
