That’s Southbound Big Bend at Manchester road in Maplewood, MO (St. Louis suburb). Depending on the time of day, Big Bend is a really busy street. If the light is red at Manchester, I can see someone trying to be nice and letting someone cross through traffic and make a left. The problem with doing this is that the driver crossing traffic may not have an opening on the northbound side and gets stuck there when the light turns green. The driver has safer/better options when leaving QT.

I wrote Fortran code for my masters thesis, but that was in 1995-97. 😎

I designed electric heaters with this type of thermal fuse. They have an aging spec, and over time most will eventually fall

I was there with my wife and parents. There were several thousand people at this location in St. Louis. Lots of traditional republicans in the crowd who seem to have had enough of Trump.

Tesla releases their quarterly sales numbers at the beginning of each quarter. Tesla’s first quarter sales numbers are expected to be down when they are released next week which could cause the stock price to drop. This matters because Elon secured his loan to buy X with his Tesla stock. If Tesla stock drops too much in value, the lenders could call in their loans forcing Elon to pay them back. This doesn’t mean Elon will go bankrupt, but he may lose his status as the world’s richest man.

I have pretty good health insurance and it covered most of the costs. It was a process. My primary care doctor had to refer me to an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist. Then I had to go through several rounds of prescription drugs and sprays that did not work. Only then was the surgery approved. So the cost included all of those copays too. I know that’s not a very helpful answer as far as cost goes.

Welcome to the American healthcare system. /s

I’ve had the surgery. 10/10 do recommend. My wife says that I no longer snore.

I met Kari Lake back in the day in Iowa. She was married to one of my coworkers. She took a tv job in Arizona with the plan that he would join her as soon as he found a job. A few weeks later she called him and ended their marriage over the phone. She is and always has been a pos.

I signed the petition. So did my wife. We did it not only for our daughters, but for all the women in Missouri.

I’d bet he’s shorter than 5’9”. I’d guess 5’6” or 7”. I’m 5’8”, 5’9” on a good day😎. Lots of men my height claim to be taller than they really are. I don’t understand lying about something so easy to check.

I agree 100%. I have a really strong team. I would put my people up against any other team in the company and most of my team would get 4’s or 5”s in comparison. It’s bad for you personal rating to be strong performer on a really good team, when being average on bad team gets you a higher rating and raise.

I am a people manager at an American company that is in the top 20 of the Fortune 500. Appraisals are meaningless. On a 1-5 scale, we are told everyone should get a 3. No ones or fives are allowed. Very few fours are given, and twos should be on a PIP. Standard raise for a 3 is 3.3%. Standard raise for a 4 is 3.8%. In actual dollars, it’s a difference of less than $350/year, $30/month, $8 week for my team.
