To be fair, whoever came up with the slogan was a jackass. "Defund the police" sounds like a hippie anarchist slogan, not a socialist slogan. They could just call it "Reinvest in Community" or "Unburden the Police" or "Plan for Tomorrow" and it wouldnt come off as immediately inflammatory and ignorant as "Defund the Police" sounds. In fact i think it is intentionally obtuse. It makes the other side instantly angry because it sounds stupid, and makes the left full of self righteous indignation.

My laptop broke today. I cant work without it. Prices for electronics are skyrocketing, and the cheapest one i can find that will do what I need is $500. I wonder if Ill be dead this time next year. And the president steals 10 billion. What a fun world Im leaving behind.
