The lake that I was talking about is also translated to midgelake and not mosquito lakt like I stated before.
As a correction to my last comment (thanks @joishine) it is correct that there are no mosquitos but instead many midges in Iceland. 1/2
How is midge then translated to Icelandic?
Ahh I thought they were mosquito s when we were there. Nice area but we couldn't get out of the car at one point because of them
