Kotor is one of those games where the graphics are done just well enough for it never to be a problem. At least IMO

And 2. Harley was not yet a major character but just a one off before her true character began developing
We also kinda have to remember that at that point in time 1. Villains were all meant to be deplorable and have no redeeming qualities 1/2

Season 2 finale of rebels made the events of Malachor canon. Which would make Regan canon because he's kinda the most important thing there.
The events of KOTOR may not be canon anymore, but Revan still is. Kylo Ren has Revan's old crystal in his lightsaber, so it has some effect.
Except Miranda, she's pretty awful.
