Being altruistic in a modern society requires a certain set of skills. I don't have them. The box was so small but very heavy. Zing could not lift the box. He wondered what could be inside. Upon inspection it had a normal box lid so he opened it. The suffering inside the box was so great that he had no hope of getting the lid to fit back on.... So he sat next to his creation, his box and began to observe. Some people didn't notice any changes in the world, or Zing for that matter. They continued their days. Unchanged, unaware there was suffering to begin with. Some people stopped and upon glancing into the box would stay there motionless, staring into the suffering until they themselves got absorbed into the box. *poof* Some got angry and fought with Zing, for the exposure to such a horrible box enraged them and they knew not what to do with those emotions. And some people suggested Zing even make a coin or two showing off his box. Zing knew now he hadn't saved anyone. His box had changed absolutely nothing.
Next Halloween do this then glue a fake nail on it. Definitely don't put it on your bosses fancy cars windshield or on their desk!

My Lebanese father-in-law tells a story about how as a small child he became very ill, had jaundice and nearly died(it gets more dramatic every yearly retelling) and was only saved after his father and uncle traveled across the desert up hill both ways to bring him a watermelon.
