Like a good wife, she's deflecting attention onto herself so hubby can continue being an a-hole.

The Supreme Court has been very busy this year. Has any judgement that has gone against him (most) stopped short of that level?

Are these leopards, or pandas?

Note: Depositing $12,096 into a 401K on a bi-weekly basis will result in the accumulation of between $65K and $75K over the same 8 years, so you're not gaining ground that way, either.

#27 Two weeks, at a penny per second = $,01 x 60 x 60 x 24 x 14 = $12,096 every fortnight, or $314,496 per year. So it would take you about 8 years to make the $2.5M. Meanwhile, had you taken the $2.5M to start and invested it in bonds or money market certificates, you would have earned an addition $850K - $1.2M over those 8 years. This is not a real world scenario as it does not include any outflow of money for living expenses.

Today is worse. Back then we didn't have hand-held devices screaming propaganda at us 24/7, conspiracy theorists were nut-jobs, and the prez wasn't a known crook until 1972 (Watergate).

I was aware of the Great Emu War, but the Chinese Sparrow War was new to me.

I have no problem with a prostitute becoming first lady or even president. Hell, we have lawyers as senators and representatives already. What's the difference?

Fool! The company that wasn't paying you enough to live, likely has insurance. This will cost them next to nothing to rebuild. In the meantime, your co-workers, who weren't getting enough to live, are now getting nothing, and the company is saving on the cost of their wages until the place is rebuilt. Violence is never the answer. Did you consider going on strike?

The war was supposed to distract us from the Epstein files, but now the Epstein files are being used to distract us from how badly managed this war has been. This admin would be high comedy if so many people weren't getting hurt.

#31 I know, really? With the descender on the "g" just floating on the water.

I hate to say this, but that was the most coherent, logical statement to come out of this admin. Not offering an opinion about something you haven't heard is actually responsible.

50 years ago we started complaining about “planned obsolescence” but we never imagined “forced obsolescence”. Even with Windows, they've stopped supporting earlier releases, but so long as the computer keeps running, you can still use it, and even download additional programs. Of course, the obvious solution is to go back to paper books. No, I will not buy another Kindle if you force my current one into retirement.

I don't disagree. We had a good working deal and Drowsy Donnie shat on it. But, he doesn't have a new deal, yet, only rules for a cease-fire. I'm sure even this idiot will make a final deal which gets us close to the old deal. It's just all the shit we've had to go through simply to get back to where we started is ridiculous.

Great, now they're going to "harden" their datacenters against EMP. Stop showing them what they have to protect against. Let it be destroyed by their own hubris. If all they're thinking of is what it can do, and not what can bring it down, we still have a chance.

I've been surprised by how many airplane photos we've seen of the launch. How much air space do they close off to commercial traffic during a proposed launch? These seem really close.

I am in favor of the draft, but not necessarily for the military. I've always felt that a few years of public service would build better citizens. So joining the Peace Corps would be equivalent to joining the army, but you wouldn't have to shoot anyone. (I cannot promise you won't get shot. This is, after all, America.) It would bring together young folk from across the country to work together, and maybe share ideas, on and about things that would make a difference.

You don't have to be a citizen to serve in the military. And serving is not an automatic path to citizenship. So, yeah, you can serve and get wounded and still get deported, without representation.
