Sorry I didn't mean the law is that you have to be certified, I mean if you are certified there is a law that protects you from being sued
You're not thinking about how easy it is to give up on someone you think is dead. Also CPR is very exhausting even though it doesn't seem it
Where I live in USA if CPR certified you are protected but certification only lasts 2 years. If you are not certified you can easily be sued
It can be very expensive some places. I used to get it for free when I was a lifeguard. Looked into it later and it was over $100
