I'm not Catholic but to me it's a good sign. He's fully immersed in whatever culture/language/people he's serving. I have no comment on the legitimacy of Catholic dogma but I believe he practices what he preaches. I believe he wants to serve for the benefit of others rather than to glorify himself.
I know he's American but I think he has an accent. I guess all the years living abroad, speaking so many languages. I'm glad he's taking a stand.
