I think it used to be a torture technique, the damage to the inside of the mouth meant photos could still be taken of prisoners.
The camera actually shakes in this scene because the camera man started crying. That was a gut punch of a movie.
Literally showing that the idea of a woman paying alimony is a joke and any man who receives it deserves ridicule.
I think the whole "black people chose to be slaves" thing probably has more to do with it than a tweet about Trump
